Steve LEOW

Steve has over 20 years of payments and consulting experience across Asia Pacific. He has a Bachelor Degree in Accountancy from Nanyang Technological University and is also accredited in design thinking and large scale program management. He is acknowledged as an industry expert in digital payments.

Steve had a successful career at Visa and held various management positions focusing on product, technology and strategic partnerships for North Asia, Southeast Asia and India. He established a multi-year partnership framework with local players in China and set a strong foundation for growth for the local teams. He was also responsible for driving the strategy and execution activities to penetrate Taiwan and enable digital wallets and payments using a tokenization solution.

In Southeast Asia, Steve was responsible for growing the network product revenue for the business, as well as managing regulatory interventions. In India, he grew the market share of a risk product to 80% within three years.

Prior to Visa, Steve was with Accenture in strategy and change management consulting roles. He had spent time in Hong Kong, Taiwan, Malaysia and Singapore, serving clients in the non-life insurance and payment verticals of the Financial Services unit. His key engagements include corporate and market entry strategies for MNCs, and he led a team to win the Ken Ernst Global Innovation award in 2004 for a non-life insurer.
